Chris Machin speaks to IFLR on consolidated tape implementation

Kaizen’s MiFIR Reporting Director Chris Machin spoke to IFLR on the technical and political complexities that may present roadblocks for consolidated tape implementation in the EU and UK.

“It is the sheer complexity of both the data and the political landscape that makes me question whether the regulators and mandated firms will succeed.

“Differences in data standards among both the APAs and the asset classes make consolidation costly and difficult, especially in fixed income and derivatives.”
